Um, you are about 6.2 billion dollars short.

There were about 6.2 billion dollars worth of EI benefit changes in the budget that Jack! opposed before even seeing.

There is no way you can spin Jack!'s flip flop on this, bud.

Are you still whining about the Paul Martin government? You needed to be thrown out at that time because of what went down with Adscam. It's 2009 now ... let's get current.

Distracting from the real issue again Leftdog?

The Liberals got $6.2 billion in EI funding in the budget that Jack! did not want to give to Canadians. They did not get the reform of the EI system they wanted, but they did get some immediate help and Jack! opposed it.

The NDP are trying to claim credit for this EI change. But they are also telling us that the Tories won't even return their emails so they lie when they say "we got this".

Jack! said there was no way in hell he could ever support Harper. But we know now that was just because he thought he wouldn't have to face an election.

Now that the Libs have gotten their house in order

Layton did nothing to get this. He didn't even try to negotiate because he has no leverage. You're bragging about the table scraps Harper has handed over.

The NDP completely folded here over what it admits to be paltry temporary changes to EI, inferior to what the Liberals were seeking.

Being a weak party too broke to afford an election is not a virtue.

"Layton did nothing to get this." Is that right Mark? Are you sure?

What happens if the NDP takes the same reckless approach as the Liberals? Nothing, that's what (see video above).

Nothing except an election that Liberals don't even want to have ...

“We’re not having an election on EI … I don’t hear Canadians clamouring for an election on this issue.” – Senator David Smith, Toronto Star, 28 August 2009

Ummm, maybe a review of your chronology is in order. I seem to recall the Cons offering EI proposals AFTER the Libs walked out, so they could make us look bad and offer something. This reform you guys have LATCHED on to like a puppy to an exposed nipple was in the hopper BEFORE Jack caved. You didn't get anything, this was a unilateral Con move, in reaction the LIBERALS. It's so rich, my heart can't take it!!

tOO funny.
Note today, Iggy just went running to the PMs office - so much for his "old john wayne" personna.
I guess "Iggy went pop"didn't like being left out and didn't like that others had the "ear and the floor".
Anyway, we'll see, as the NDP are reading the bill and it might not be up to what the Cons initially presented.
Instead poor Iggy wants to rush it through without reading the fine print - poor leadership - but than this is about Iggy being PM, and not about Canadians getting their EI - cause but stupid Liberals in the first place.
