Does owning a blog make one a "blogger"? Here's hoping the answer is "not necessarily".
Let's face it: blogging has gotten a bad rap and a lot of it has to do with quality. You know: lethargic bloggers prosaicly putting-forth on Britney Spears' hair-do-malfunction, or the declining quality of lawn furniture. Does this stuff have its place? Sure. Is that place a blog you expect strangers to read? Less sure.
There's a study (or two) out there showing that the number of active blogs peaked a few years ago and has since fallen somewhere closer to earth. These once impassioned bloggers abandoned the keyboard as their muse and have since returned to obsessions like "Survivor: Garage Sale Sunday" or getting the timing on their 1990 Pontiac Sunbird "just right".
As is often the case, the first person to leave the room is also the first to be blamed. That's the way it is with these folks -- the pointless, incessant barkers. To them: a stern "for shame" with a deliberate, frowning head shake.
Here at BADH we are committed to leaving the internet better than we found it. No id-driven drivel, or lending credence to the irrelevant.
'Cause at the end of the day, someone has to clean up after that dog.
